Hows my little offbeat?

First.
I will be in the twin cities soon for a limited time.
I might call you. Call me if you want.

This holiday time of year has so far swept right under my feet almost without knowing entirely. Its like I am preoccupied with something and I just have not felt holiday-ish. People would say merry christmas to me and I would just respond with an unsteady 'thanks' until I was actually breathing down saint nick's neck I couldn't bring myself to say "Merry Christmas" back to someone. I think I dished out a total 6 verbal Merry Christmases. Evidently Christmas came and went without much anticipation and hooplah (minus seeing my family that was a long time coming and missed) and now new years eve is showing its ugly face tomorrow and I will be working and ringing in the new year with the phone. If it wasn't for people calling at work reminding me of its quick approach, I might have forgotten about this one altogether.
So needless to say its been a strange 'feeling' break thus far. A good strange though. Indiana was good, I am happy I saw all of my family, I raked in some good booty from santa too!

I named this little guy Gunter (say with best german accent)
Its one of those vaccuming robots, its nothing short of mesmorizing.

I've been listening the shit out of Stadium Arcadium's Mars Album the last few days at work.
I am currently in love with the 3rd track Hard to Concentrate.

I just finished the first of hopefully 3 books over break, Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz. Fantastic.
Up Next: Fahrenheit 451

Have you ever encountered someone that you thought of them smiling made you smile?

Hows my little '06 year ender?

2006 has been a good year so far. Since it has began i have been an accepted graphic design student I have began a bike riding habit and had my bike stolen and seen my stolen bike in the wild, 3 times since. I decided to like beer and can now enjoy a guinness even. I even left the country. To date 2006 has been a good one. I have a few more days of it filled with work, which is the first job i have worked at for over a year straight through. go me. and here is the breakdown of my year end review.

Best song: Wet Sand – Red Hot Chili Peppers
It still gives me goosebumps I love it so much
Best movie (in theater): Over the hedge, borat, and Casino Royale
Much love for these three
Best movie (saw): Running Scared
Paul walker CAN act, crazy.
Best Album: Stadium Arcadium Red Hot Chili peppers
I ‘m still not sick of it
Best concert: Both Flogging molly shows.
All fantastic for their own reasons.
Best music video: OKGO – Here it goes again.
The treadmills, come on it really was clever and amazing.
Best Party: Black and white potluck.
So many friends at my house, good food, and lots of love
Best Bar night: The night in may when I met Anne for ‘a drink’ at Sir Ben’s
We ended up dinking much much more singing kerokie and skinny dipping in the lake, but did NOT barf, yessssss.
Best toy: Kite tube
Flying 20ish feet in the air and falling off, painful yet exhilarating.
Catchiest Tune: Fergalicious – Fergie
This was a close call between this and Hips don’t lie by shakira

Events of note:
Hospital trip in july
Not sure what happened to get me there exactly but dehydration helped a lot
Meeting Flogging Molly
A dream come true more or less, flogging molly arguably my favorite band
Trip to Ireland
First time overseas was definitely one to remember.
Parents moving to Indiana
They got up and left the house I grew up in. It will be missed
Exploring the tunnels under Duluth
Jason and I were bored so we crawled around on Duluth’s bowels, twas good.
Summer of 06 was the best since I began high school I would imagine.
Obligations included working and riding my bike. Fantastic.
Finding out I have a paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.
Who needs a heart anyway? Well since this I have cut my energy drink intake by about 87%
Began making wine as a hobby.
Its so cool to be able to tell people I made this wine.

Hows my little great sleeper?

School is done for the semester.

Thank god, this semester I have had a bunch of projects that haven't been interesting and I half assed most of them and still did pretty well.

except for one class...there is always that one class.

one senior semester down....three to go
yay.

so remember a couple of years ago when i made myself a mythical creature?...a very naked one.
it horrified most of you.
Well, I'm going to do it again because I think that i have gotten better at photoshop and it will look cooler.
SO. if you know of any good mythalogical creatures that would be interesting done in my (naked) likeness tell me, and I will consider it.

Black and White party was super fun, it was a mini-thanksgiving for me seeing all you cats who managed to come. THANK YOU!!

I am going to Indiana for a christmas whoopie. I am excited to see my family! But not so excited about indiana. Thank god for Tivo though =)

I actually had a (weird) dream last night that my parents were playing an elaborate joke on me about moving to indiana and really had a house in minnesota. I was really mad in the dream and hid from them and the found some local football game where I met someone I had ran into at a gas station earlier in my dream. (for some reason people in this town liked hitting tennis balls and raquetballs with basebats into farm fields) and I talked to them until I went looking for my parents. on my way back to finding them I saw a big ship come into a harbor and an announcer said it was carrying flesh eating ferrets. except these ferrets were way crazier and had lots of sharp teeth and prefered getting around by swimming in puddles. Then I found them and we went back to our house but it was being washed out by some firemen because the plumbing back up and there was poo all over. then chip magicly appeared so I played fetch with him with one of the numerous tennis balls that was in the nearby farm field, and that was fun.
It was a pretty elaborate dream last night, but thats what i get for sleeping for about 12 hours-ish, and man do I feel great about it.
Oh, and that myth that people don't dream in color is definatly not true because the tennis balls were all bright green. and chip was...chip colored? and the bear was brown.

Hows my little giant sigh?

I went and saw the new bond tonight. very good flick.
the opening chase scene was stellar and my new hero is the guy bond chased.

I still have quite a bit of schooling to work on...BUT
that will be put on hold for an amazing weekend of being surrounded by great friends.

Those who want to know when I will be in the cities next, I'll tell you when i know.
Most likely that will be either the day before, the day of, or the day after I arrived.
Depending on whom I decide I need to see first.
I CAN tell you that it will be sometime after new years though.

It rained in duluth today.
IT RAINED IN DULUTH.....TODAY!!!!
Thats right, Duluth MinneSNOWda
Last year I think I had skied more than once at this point.
Lame.

Hows my little I dont know him?

This past week I have waved at AT LEAST three people that i don't know.

A full out wave, you know, where my elbow leaves the comfort of near my ribcage while my hand makes repeating arc motions.
I usually get the typical response of a curtesy smile in return just after I realize I don't know said waved person, and they don't know me.

I even heard one girl say to the guy she was walking with, *I have no idea who that is*

ackward.
I think I need my eyes checked

Hows my little speed racer?

what a week!
I got back from Ireland and landed on my feet running. I am very sure I didn't get myself on irish time between the staying up late the getting up early and the many naps that were taken...which was good for when I got back I needed to do A LOT of homework. And homework I did. After wishing Anne a TTFN at Red Star I slept when I woke up began the ass kicking at school. But i got a whole lot done this weekend AND was able to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night...so that was good.

Saturday Jason and I explored the snowy outdoors and took lots of pictures (maybe ill put some up later).
Last night I went out on a date. It was great, we have lots in common which is super exciting, second meeting is scheduled for later this week.
The rest of this week and next can be taken at a leasiurely pace thank god.

We are having a black and white potluck at our house on not this saturday but the following one. it shall rock, if youre reading this, youre invited.

If you click on the Irish Sister link (on the right) you can get some more pictures of my visit to ireland

Hows my little Baby Guinness?

Ireland.
A land where Guinness flows more than it rains, which is saying something, A land where sidewalks beep at you, weird roads, massive shopping districts, good food, no tall buildings, and really friendly people.

Visiting my sister was pretty fantastic it was fun seeing her place of living and meeting her friends as well as seeing Dublin. I got there Friday morning after a long Thursday of travel, I got a tour of Dublin while in search for the Guinness brewery as well as the Jameson distillery. I spent that day perpetually tipsy because of all of the samplings and the drink at lunch.

Saturday morning was fantastic, we went to beautiful town called Galway. In Galway we visited the aron islands which were beautiful! We got a tour of the largest island and it was super cool learning more about the Irish culture. That night we went out and got ourselves a good Irish dinner then got a few drinks at a pub, where I met up with one of my good friend's sister Nelly and got to meet this guy she is seeing. He was Danish and cool as hell. We got another drink at the hotel and went to bed it was a good day.

Sunday was spent mostly in transit back to Dublin and getting Amanda’s friend Jessica home. We went out to a cool bar that night and drank a whole bunch of Guinness (Amanda likes whiskey she drank that) That is when I got to experience cheesy chips, which are fries with cheddar smothered all over them…deeeeelish.

Monday Amanda had class all day so I thought I would go out and wander Dublin. We stayed out late the night before/I still wasn’t on Irish time yet, so I slept until 1. Which was lame of me. I did get out to explore Dublin, but just for not as long. I spent most of my time reading a crappy map and trying to figure out where I was. But it was still way cool to be wandering around Dublin on my own going in some shops and watching/listening to people. We stayed in that night after Amanda and I whipped up a culinary masterpiece. I watched a movie called Very Bad Things, which is a movie without a happy ending, and Cameron Diaz looking fine, so I liked it.

Wednesday Amanda and I set the ol’ alarm for 10 and went out around town, it was fun to tell her what I had walked past the night before. We went on a search for a peacoat and it provided some very promising results but didn’t get one. I was damn close though. We also saw the book of Kells and the book of Durrow, which were absolutely sweet because I had studied them briefly in a history class. Then we went to a town with a name I could not pronounce one bit while reading it but it was pronounced dun-leer-ie. And that was fun too. We walked around town a bit and walked out on a big breakwater with some a lighthouse and Amanda even got attacked by the Irish sea, which was funny. Wednesday night we met up with many of Amanda’s friends and roommates and we all went to a pub. I drank a lot. I cuddled with Amanda on the cab ride home because the cab drivers drive super fast and spin around turns like crazies. We made it back and I left a nice deposit of some Guinness and rice on UCD’s lawn, before wandering up to her apartment.

Today I got up early feeling much less than stellar and hopped on a bus through Dublin and it was cool to go driving through and say, hey I know where I am in another country, right now. In the plane I got to see some really cool mountains and glaciers in Canada, and that was way cool.

All in all Ireland was great. Ladies if you want to hop on the European fashion bandwagon start buying black leggings and jean skirts. Also the earbud headphones are the only headphones used. Guys it’s all about layering, Amanda called it functional because the weather there is very erratic, maybe she is right. I am happy my sister is a certified Irish whiskey taste tester, because now I know a bit more about different whiskeys. I have many more stories and details about my trip, but this is getting very long, so I thought I would let you cats know that the trip was wonderful, and Ireland is great. And so is my sister.

Oh yeah…
If any of you EVER travel overseas, make sure to leave enough room in your carry on luggage to buy all sorts of crap (aka cheap booze) from the duty free stop in the airport. Because I didn’t and damnit I wanted the twin pack of Jameson for only 23 euro.

Hows my litte thankfully excited?

Two Parts:

I am cheesy
I am thankful for:
My great friends, my wonderful mom and dad and sister and brothers, that I am healthy, a job, my big house, Fergie, the big hugs i get and give, music that fits my mood, ireland, my sisters presence in ireland creating an excuse to see it, engadget keeping me updated on nerd news, cnn keeping updated on "news", blogging, glorious food, hot girls in the morning, fun, smiles, good moods, really neat clouds, pictures, photoshop, walks to school in the cold, and the love i have for all the people close to me.

Part two:
IRELAND!!!
I am going to ireland for thanksgiving, to those of you who offered me a place to sit and be welcomed for thanksgiving thank you so much I love you and am thankful i have friends and family gracious enough to offer that to me.
But, I'm going to ireland.
I am leaving the country to a much different place, the signs are different, they talk different, they even measure different. I am going to drink stout and whiskey and laugh and love. I am excited to see my sister whom i haven't seen in forever, and I am excited to see a new part of the world. I am going to see henry's sister the weekend that I am there. I'm excited to walk in a place i have never been and see things i have never seen. I am excited to dress kind of nicely for a whole week and everyone I meet will have the impression I do it all the time. I am excited to be a traveler and a tourist. I am excited for someone else to show me around an area I know nothing about. I am excited to talk to strangers, I am excited to show a security guard my passport. I am excited that the bank just extended my credit line. I am excited to play 7 hours of pokemon. I am excited to leave minnesota. I am excited to be alive enough to be excited. Friends, family and strangers I am leaving on the 23rd and I am excited about that.

suprise! part 3
when i see girls with really big butts i automatically start singing 'what you gunna do with all that junk all that junk inside that trunk' and it makes me laugh EVERY time.

Hows my little Vote against war?

I voted yesterday.
Donald Rumsfeld quit today.
Conicidence?

Did you vote?
Yesterday marked an important day for me and, well I think... My family. If you know me you know my stance is pretty firm against the war, I promote Stem Cell reasearch, I think if gay people would like to get married they should. And some other things too.

Wisconsin...I thought you were better than that...

I think Pawlenty is running minnesota pretty well, so I have no qualms with his win.

As for the house and Senate I voted blue. For two reasons. My brother Brian and my other brother Dan. Both have been to Iraq and made it back with their lives, and Brian will be over there again most likely by march. and if only takes 15 min of my life to register and then to vote to prolong his life, then damnit I'll do it, shame on who didn't.
Go DFL for gaining control of the house. I can only hope that this is a beginning to an end of our involvement with Iraq.

I Voted.

Hows my little for lack of a better word?

Wow....
wow, I cant believe it.

If youre one of my good friends you probably know who this is pictured above. If youre not, its Flogging Molly.
Most of you know how much I love them. Anyway I tried not to geek out too much with em...but I did.

Wait wait...Let me start over.

So Tonight started like many other nights, A little drink, A lot of merry, great friends and later...a concert (Flogging molly to be exact).
Chillin in my living room I get a call from the (insert copious amounts of greatful adjatives here) Anne Clifford. She says "Hey, Do you have a car?"
I reply, "yes..."
"How would you like to drive Flogging Molly from the show, to the after-party at Dublhinns?"
[jaw drops...shes kidding right?...well anne doesnt call me for no reason, I believe her]
"Hell yes!"
Ok here is what you have to do....

So we go to the show...Not only am I pumped to Go to a concert, mosh, jump, live, cry and love, I get to meet one of my favorite bands of all time...IN MY CAR.

So the show gets over, they were great...Like usual, I loved it (6th itme by the way) and after the show as many of you know I am a sweaty Mo-Fo I danced, sang...it was great. So i part with my friends (probably rudely sorry) and head to meet this stranger to escort Flo-Mo to the bar.
and we wait.
and wait
and wat

PS we were outside, Im sweaty as hell shirt is drenched, If I recall right I have the first stage of hypothermeia setting in. FINALLY they are ready, so we get going.
I had a cool guy named franky(dave's Friend), two others from the opening shows and The drummer(bald guy with blue shirt in back) in my car. Of course I take not the fastest way (these guys just wanted and to get lit up, not happy with me) we rocked to Rage and walked into the bar.

Im looking for the my hook up to say i got the guys there, and find one of my good pals from the bemidji track team (mom it was the guy who wore the kilt) and I freak out cause I havent seen him in ages and i tell him my story.
After I head over to find the guy again, I see him he hands me a pint. [backstory: I have been drinking a shit ton of beer lately in order to like Guiness for my Ireland visit (mission has been accomplished)] So I sit there and chat with the (pictured far left) Lead Singer...Dave King and his beautiful wife Bridget.

I chatted with them while drinking bottomless free guiness and leared about what to not see and what to see for my visit. They wer pouring the beer faster than I could drink (ask me about half and half its getting long) so I am running whiskey shots and beer to my buddy jake from b-town and hes drinkin for free i am too...lord it was great.

At the end of the night I had a blast, I met one of my favorite bands, partied with them and could not believe it for a moment.

There was many people there celebrating halloween and one chick was honestly wearing black underware (undies and bra) and rabbit ears. If hanging with flogging molly hadnt already gotten me off half a dozen times...that would have for sure oh man..

Also might have gotten a Graphic Design Hook-up with a Duluth Design firm who does work for companies all around the world.

Anne...I am deeply in debt to you, youve got some love headed your way very very soon.

Amanda I tried to call you but apparently my phone cant call ireland, I really did try though.

Hows my little uplifter?

There are a few phrases in life that when you stumble across them it has some kind of affect on you and how you currently view/live your daily life. In my life I've had a few of these phrases enter my life, I mull over them trying to understand the different ways they can or could affect my life.

Today I had one of these delieverd to me, through a very unlikely medium.

Its not the hand you're dealt
Its how you play the cards

At a time that thoughts of what i am going to do after a year and a half more of college swarms me everyday, the line just seems to makes sense. It is just an easy reminder that I am the only one controlling my life right now. I think I am playing my cards ok at this point, in another year...we'll see now won't we. I've come to the conclusion that I really don't know where I want to be (in minnesota, west coast or europe?) nor what I exactly want to do. At this point however, all I am looking for is a chance somewhere.
Thats all.

Give me a chance to shine and I'm gunna blind the world.

Thank you

Hows my little #@%~!?

probably the worst day of work ever today.
I've had 'bad' days at work before...but this one makes them look like a frolic in the park.

We have just installed a new computer system at the hotel, so for me(and everyone else), its like im starting a new job at the same building. Its stupid. I have to re-learn EVERYTHING. Before, when i got trained in it was fine, i watched people make reservastions, answered the occasional phone and generally eased into the job. Today, however everyone was new, the people who were supposed to be training us hopped on a plane and took off to whereever leaving us stranded.
The Manager of the hotel who knows everything, didn't, the other manager who knows as much, was hung over as hell and useless, the Manager who had the unfortunate job of actually being in the office, didnt know shit and was ready to punch anyone with a question.
Of course I started on my own at 7 am this morning, I came in not even knowing how to check someone out. I ended up pissing off the 2nd person who came up to me and he yelled at me, and I ended up being my sarcastic/pissed-at-you-ass self back to him ...because i was on my own, and could.

Sure am excited to go to ISU and Bemidji.
AND IRELAND!!!

Hows my little winter wonderland?

My knee hurts from my tumble still

I took today off of school..good idea? maybe, I did acomplish something though.

I'm starting to think working 30 hoursish a week is too much...but I think I would be bored more often and procrastinate my homework a bunch more. besides, I need spending money for ireland.

I think I am going to sell my Mp3 player, if anyone wants it it is a Creative Nomad Zen Xtra, 30 gig. I think I can get 50 for it on Ebay so I'll ask for 50$ here too I guess. And since I know all of you guys I'll leave it full of music that I have aquired let me know if youre interested!

Hows my little six year old?

Today was a normal day...it began like most others, waking up, eating , that whole deal.

On the way to class is when it deviated from the norm.
I hopped off the bus, took my bike off the front, and headed to the other side of campus in a cheery mood. along the way i like rolling down hills dodging cars and people and bouncing on and off curbs. So like a normal curb bunny hopping day I was jumping off the edge of the little handicap acess to the sidewalk (see ASCII drawing):

edge i hopped off [---is the curb/sidewalk}
|
\/
----,.__.,----

well shortly after landing my front wheel hit some loose sand and decided to point the way i wasnt moving. after some quick manuevering and a very near faceplant, and a tuck and roll. The falling process took approximatly 30 to 40 feet and I tumbled off my bike for the first time in I think 6 or more years.
I ended up skining up my knee pretty bad, have two blood blisters on my fingertips and cut up my hand pretty bad. BUT I LIVED, which is important.

Also today Jason and I worked out and played a game of 3 on 3 hoops with some strangers, wich is the first time I've done that in 5 years I think. well the hoops part at least, i seem to be working out regularly

Second monthly titacular tuesday is tonight, it should be a good one.

Hows my little abstraction?

I bought a bag of reeses yesterday in the halloween section of walgreens, (where one would at this time of year) and am now eating the last one in the bag. I got back from class to notice only 4 of however many were left from last night alone.

ladies, the gateway to my heart is through reeses peanutbutter cups.
remember when they used to have that little white square of cardboard underneath them in the package...?
....no?.....well I do, they dont anymore, which makes me happy, they were just more garbage.

remember when trix were ball shaped too?

I bottled batch number 2 of my wine yesterday, I kind of screwed up and now its not as crystal clear as it should be, in the siphoning process i dropped the tube down into the settled lees (dormant yeast and grape junk), but oh well. As a red wine goes it is very very drinkable and will be taking orders starting right now. in about 2-3 months is when it should be technically drank.

i have a sweet travel schedule set up for the coming months which is thrilling.
oct 20-22 Bemidji
oct 28 (not traveling) flogging molly is in duluth
Nov 3-5 ISU
Nov 23-29 IRELAND!! visiting mah sis!!
Dec 22-28 Indiana

wowie sounds like fun!

Hows my little soap?

As many of you know I live with 3 girls, which can be interesting at times, and silly at others.

I currently have a mystery that I cant solve with them though, it concerns the shower.
Our landlord graciously provided us each with our own little dangly thing where we can put our shampoo and soap on. Mine is the most full with shampoo facewash and bodywash...which is where the mystery begins. I'm not sure whose little thing is whose, but only one of the three girls has any form of body washing material. It is a bar too, which makes me feel slightly girly seeing that I have body wash (but no loofa thank god or I would feel even less masculine).
The other two dangle things have shampoo conditioner and a razer each. What are they washing themselves with I want to know. Often times I get into the shower and see a bottle of Tilex, which is used to clean grout.
Now I am sure all of you know what grout is, stuff between cracks of tiles. which brings me to another mystery, we have no tiles, in fact it is all dangly curtians (we have a bathtub with feet is why that is). So that means no grout, it would also be silly to think that by spraying the tilex on the floor it would actually make a difference in how clean that would appear.
So naturally I am thinking, since I do not use the tilex, a girl must be using it, and since it is meant for mold...is one of my room mates cleaning.....herself ?.........with.......tilex?

if thats the case I am offically afraid to sit anywhere in my house
anyone have anything for me?

Hows my little redundancy?

Since school has started here is my life, and my future life predictions.

School, Work, Homework, Sleep.

So needless to say not much is going on, dont expect much for a while.

Yellowcard is interrupting my homework tonight with an outdoor concert here.
That should be alright
I Bought the Tailspin season 1.

Somtime I will do something great, and tell you all about it

hows my little first day?

First Day of school today, kind of excited to be honest. today i have a ceramics class and another class im not sure what it is about.

Last night we broke in the new place by having a potluck. i guess it turned out to be a huge success. I came well after it started after the slowest day of work ever (driving the shuttle and only one ride given). the part that I was there for was quite fun, there was a dance off, some how i got roped into and and had to break out the only dance move I know...the worm, it was embarrassing. I danced to toxic...bleah. anyway life is grand...off to go get my clothes out of the broken dryer....yipee!!!

pizza luce tonight, half price bottles of wine, yessssssss

oh....turns out we have a sauna in our basement, who knew?

Hows my little mover?

currently in the moving out/in process its fantastic.

Jason and I rented a UHaul all by ourselves yesterday. I feel like a big boy now.

slept in my new King bed for the firs time las night, and it was the first time in a year my feet did not dangle from the end of the bed....HURRAY!!

been pretty reclusive lately, but my wings will open again after i get mostly moved in....hopefully tonight.

currently being 'lent' someone's internet....not sure if that will last its insanely slow.

Hows my little all-over-the-place?

airports are funny, it takes an unheard of amount of security to get into them...but after you get out of the 'secure zone' to pick up your baggage....people (not even 'safe' people) are still on the honor system in grabbing whoevers luggage is handy.

have you ever looked at your religion from the outside and thought about it as how it could be thought of as cultish? i took a step back from the catholic faith this past week and kind of spooked myself. I suggest trying yours. hm

i really hate drama, i hate when i tell people mine too, it makes me mad that i have some, and have let something bother me enough to bitch about.

Indiana was great, I love my family. Jon twas good to see you

it was wonderful to see the smiles I saw today, ill be back soon to see everyone elses smiles saturday.

It really takes a vacation to appreciate life.

Walked down by the wabash with my dad yesterday, I got to see the rest of my family too.

And my dog, god we missed each other, he is in a sunbeam right now.

The new house has lots of windows, and sky lights too, its very wonderful.

hows my little conundrum?

my PC is dead....
thank god i have my laptop for the meantime.

this puts me in a bit of a sticky wicket though.
Because I want to get the a new mac pro in about a year...not in a month to replace my current PC
now a broken current PC, which is pretty lame.
I can replace a broken motherboard and most likely the ram in it for about 200-400$
or i can get the new mac pro for 2500...

in other news i found a house, anyone in duluth need a place to live?
we need a 4th roomie.

off to indiana tomorrow morning, yipee!!!

Hows my little high flyer?

the airport situation is getting crazy
When i fly to indiana next week i think ill just wear two pairs of shorts and three shirts (ditching bags all together) and put my ipod and game boy in the pockets and drop the shorts in the box they give me for my laptop and shoes.

I was inspired today to create one of my worst photoshop creations...but still shows what the future may hold for us at the airport.

I call it:

How to pack for air travel in 2012

Pack for Airport

thats right, naked and one shirt for a carry-on. (hopefully people don't continue with the obesity trend)

Also, women around the world are trapped "looking ugly" today because the airport is throwing away all of their cosmetics.
THANK GOD, women need to stop relying on powders to make themselves look better, and instead just buy their guy another drink (or three)...

Hows my little failing economy?

I understand most of you don't read/watch/or listen to the news, minus MTV's 'news'. Partially because its always, bad news. So, here is the sum of the world right now.

Bush vetoed his first bill ever, hindering any new stem cell research in the us
Blair our British friend said hey come over to England, we love stem cells!
There is a 'new' war between Israel and Lebanon.
But not really Lebanon, it is a militant group supported by Syria and Iran
Hezbollah is what the militant group is called, who are not related to Al-qaeda
Buuuuut some lines can be drawn to the Hamas (ruling party if Iran)
Hugo Chavez also really likes Iran, AND Korea for fighting against the US in the 50's
Castro got sick, his brother is running Cuba, Florida rejoiced.
And in the US news, the economy is doing better than it was.
Which is still shitty, between the federal debt and the trade debt
last year's trade deficit was like 415(ish?) billion this year is only around 400 billion
that is down from Clinton's projected 300 million surplus
we are creating uncertainty in the world, as our dollar plummets.....

which leads me to my link for today, I think everyone who ever reads this blog in the next few days should read this link, it is an article on the BBC about the us economy, it does a good job of explaining simply how the dollar gains and looses value around the world. Since the dollar is mostly losing its value its a little negative, but still very informative as to how US money flows around the world.

oh....and Britney and K-Fed are doing well, I guess.

hows my little astranger?

So while I was sick I was like god all I want to know is how it feels to feel normal. today for like 87% of the day I felt normal, and it was very normal feeling. and that really made me comfortable.

so while I was recovering from being sick I bought flogging molly's cd/DVD album. My official review: I like flogging molly lots so I like it, but if you don't own any of their other albums go get those instead, its one new track, a few acoustic versions of popular songs (drunken lullabies is kind of funny how slow it is) and then some live recordings.

as for the DVD I found it very inspiring. I really just want to drop life and go another direction, but I have made it too far and spent too much to realistically do that now. but I want to.

So ever since I started looking for colleges I wanted to study abroad. Ever since I started looking for colleges I just wanted a change, bemidji definitely provided one for me, but not the right one, I met lots of great people there and still love them, but not the right place for me. Duluth has been really cool its been nice to experience 'city' life.
I am still craving that change though. I want to get out and see the world.
when people ask me what I am going to do after college I give em two answers. haahahahaha....eehhhh well I don't have a clue, followed by well ideally I would land a sweet internship or job somewhere and move on but...ya never know.
But..
Really I just want to go somewhere else, talk to strangers, take pictures, document my travels. poke around in shady places, camp, leave the USA, see the ocean, hike a mountain, traverse a crevasse, go to Italy or even south America, see European art, meet interesting people for a day or a week. I aspire to be a nomad. I am not opposed to saving money just to do that for as long as the cash lasts. I want to work odd jobs, I want to sling fish in a market, not shower for a week because I don't have access to one.

And I want to do it alone.

nothing against you or anything, but its what I want to do. I don't want someone to say, tony this isn't a good idea or, hey lets do this instead of that, I wanna do my own thing.

so that's that, go me...someday

Hows my little bad news bear?

I have had a interesting past 30 hours ish
I drove my good pal Sam home because I am a good soul Thursday night. because she did the right thing and called for a sober cabbie, and the staab and I pulled through. My tummy wasn't feeling so hot though. I was thinking it was kind of an echo from Wednesday nights activities. When I got home I decided sleep was a good idea.

It turned out to only be an Idea until about 3:30 ish when I barfed my my mac and cheese and OJ that I had for dinner. barfing is never a pleasant activity. So after about three or four more trips to the bathroom I decided to take a look at Web MD again, after all they did tell me about my appendicitis. Here was the lesson learned, if you vom and you have a little red in it, head on over the the Doc.

So that is what I did at 5:45 in the morning.

I got in they hooked my up to an IV I barfed some more pooped in my gown while sleeping and had a nurse wipe my ass. which was awkward and kind of pleasant all at the same time. It takes some sort of level of pride to let someone wipe your ass, but man when you realize that you are getting all cleaned up and not an ounce of effort is going in it, it is kind of satisfying. It might have been the morphine though.

If you haven't experienced morphine I recommend it sometime, when you sleep your dreams feel so real, when I was awake though I was pretty useless, but they only gave one dose of that. so that was good, I guess that stuff can be pretty addicting though.

so after that fun stuff I finally stopped barfing and they said looks like you're spending the night here! I responded with a hearty, yay.....

on the good side of it though on MTV2 there was a next marathon for like 2 hours, so that was really thrilling, I love that show.

Laura and Sam came and visited me for a couple of hours as well, and it was great to see them they came bearing gifts and it was quite delightful to have conversations with them rather than the same 60 yes or no questions the doctors and nurses would ask me.

I don't think I have heard wow you are tall so much in such a small amount of time either. it is ridiculous how many times I heard it. and it is such and awkward statement because someone always expects me to respond with something, more often than not I would respond with yep, I'm a tall drink of water... And then there is always the LAME follow-up question, do you play basketball? I usually respond pleasantly with a not anymore track was my thing. It was as if the only sport tall people can do is basketball, some of the best hockey players are taller than me, randy moss is only an inch shorter than me, Mark McGwire is as tall as me too. I'm only bitter because I really don't like basketball, high school effectively killed it for me.

After my stay I am still not quite sure what made me sick, what I heard from the doctors was a gastro-intestinal infection, stomach flu, the 24 hour flu, and heat stroke. But what ended up keeping me in the hospital was my dehydration.

Unfortunately I wont be attending the wine and cheese party because of this but I think it will be for the better.

Just talked to my good buddy Pete from Bemidji and found out that one of my friends who we hung out with a lot, Luke, lost a leg in Iraq by stepping on a land mine. I guess he is lucky to be alive because the mine was meant for a jeep. Couldn't have happened to a better kid.

Hows my stupid heart?

My heart has been doing itst thing a bunch today, one glass of mountian dew/pink lemonade can not be the explination for it...lame.

still alive though

I saw the new pirates movie...Its great!
pay no attention to the preview, it doesnt make the movie look as good as it is. and its a record breaker too! check out what cnn had to say about it.

Johnny Depp's boozy, woozy buccaneer Jack Sparrow has plundered the box office, with "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" taking in a record $132 million in its first three days, according to studio estimates Sunday.

Disney's swashbuckling sequel sailed past the previous all-time best debut, 2002's "Spider-Man," which took in $114.8 million in its first weekend.

"Dead Man's Chest" also did nearly three times the business of its predecessor, "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl," which took in $46.6 million over opening weekend in 2003.

The sequel surpassed that total in its first day alone, taking in $55.5 million Friday to beat the previous single-day record of $50 million, set last year by "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith." With $44.7 million on Saturday, "Dead Man's Chest" also became the first movie to top $100 million in just two days.
"Dead Man's Chest" reeled in 43 percent of the $305 million total domestic gross the original "Pirates" rang up in its entire six-month theatrical run.

amazing huh?
I will be home moday and tuesday to help my parents move, and hopefully see my brother and his family.

work can be very stressful

Hows my little mover?

Turns out my parents are moving on the 16th now. They are closing on the house on july 14th instead of the 17th they plan on taking off for Covington, Indiana the 16th. With luck I will be able to work it out with work that I can come home and camp in my house that I grew up in for my last time, then from here out My visits to home will consit of crashing on someone's couch.

This move hasn't really stirred up much emotion from me one way or another. Its a good deal for ma and pa becuase they are off doing something better, and moving forward with life. Amanda is living there for part of the summer before she moves to ireland for a semester. I am firmly planted in duluth until I finish college.

In the past year I think i can use most of my fingers and toes to count the few nights I have spent in my bed in Arden Hills, so its not affecting me too much. One thing I will miss is coming back and seeing my high school pals during the holidays. I haven't seen the new place yet but I am told it is very nice, in a quiet neighborhood on a golf course....in Indiana.

One thing I told my mom that I thought was funny was that I am garunteed to not move in with them after I am done with college, because hell if I move to po-dunk Indiana to take time off from school or work. I am a city boy, thats for sure.

Please call me, I like doing things.
Back in Duluth and working, I like my job.
I wish that i could make people who are upset more uset.
I get some pretty witty comments when they are yelling at me.
The happy and fun people make it worthwhile though.
Headed to justin's cabin on the 5th.
A smart person once told me, youre not supposed to leave a bottle of wine open for more than 3 days. I think you can hold that out for about 5, but when you hit 8 it tastes really really bad.
I am working during fireworks on the 4th

Hows my little Razr Killer?

I killed it....

My trusty Razr, it could not handle the swim in lake superior, sadly.
I tried to breathe life into it through its ventilation but it would not resopnd.
I attempted surgery but unfortunatly I was unable to help.
I did not bother it for extended mounts of time for it to recouperate.
I tried to plug it into it's life support system but it could not handle it.
To you Razr I salute you.

meh, i have insurance I can collect on its death and get a new one
yay capitalism

I will be without a phone until next week sometime, probably tuesday night or wednesday, cingular dose not represent itself up here and since the guts of Razrs are different from company to company I can not just magicaly get a new one.

My parents sold the house, they will be out by july 17th.
Before My mom moves she would be interested in teaching whoever wants how to interview, as she is a human resources manager she knows one or two things about them. Also we are at that age where interviews are particularly important. Free of charge.

Summer is going well, I am currently reading a book about the begining of the current Iraq war and what the soldiers expierenced, it was written by a CNN embedded reporter who was in the same division of the army as my brother.

Yesterday Dan and I jumped off of the top of the sunken building in lake superior against our better judgement, the lake was really really cold yesterday. I will do it again and take pictures for ya'll

My wine will be bottled on tuesday Starting right now I will be taking pre-orders. It is called Essentially Dapper and is a white wine of the Pinot Grigio type.

Hows my little remote controller?

That's one of the nice things about TV. There is no law that says you have to watch. There is no law that says you have to purchase a television set. There is no law that says you have to subscribe to a cable TV services...One of the greatest virtues of our system is the freedom to choose."

The trouble is, the nation's broadcasters are gradually losing their freedom to choose what to put on the air.

Hows my little internet treat?

Ann is sitting here.

My house in Duluth does not have Internet acess, it has driven me to watch copious amounts of VH1. I have seen the Maxiam and VH1 hot 100 3 times now. May classes are over, I think I did pretty well in them, yay me. Moved the wine yesterday, took pictures but I don't have my camera at home, maybe later?

Hows my little Wineo?

On my laptop I have a nice blog started about dropping lasagna, but an event occurred today which is of much greater significance.

I began making wine today.
With the always lovely Sarah M. Fuller as my assistant, and Jason's equipment on loan while he blogs in Japan. It began with a trip up to wine creations here in Duluth, a store solely devoted to making wine, and a few beer materials here and there. After short deliberation I decided to make the only kind of wine I know for sure I like, Pinot Grigio. With a swipe of some plastic and some words of wisdom the creating could begin.

It included some easy to follow directions, but reading my book a little and random tidbits picked up from brew master Staab, lead me along the way.

First we began by stirring warm water.
Vigorously.
Then we added some stuff in a packet, and the concentrate. I bought the concentrate because apparently you need 100 pounds of grapes to produce 6 gallons of juice for wine.
Sarah stirred the concentrate with much enthusiasm.

Then we took our first Measurement with a hydrometer, which can detect the approximate amount of alcohol in my wine, it was at 9%. Which is not enough. So this week I am going to see if I can find a way to make it more buried in my book. I might just have to take what I can get for the time being.

Then we took the tempeture, which read well, turns out Jason has a floating Thermometer, which was one of the cooler things I have seen in a while.

So we added yeast, which makes alcohol...I think. What I DO know is that it starts the fermentation process which leads to alcohol.

After all of our scientific measuring we decided to try the unfermented wine. I nabbed a picture of Sarah while she was sucking it down. I thought it tasted a lot like apple sauce in juice form...oddly enough.

then we capped the bucket not to look at it for 5-7 days, right when I get back from memorial actually. that little clear thing on top of the bucket is a sweet little gadget that forces Gas (CO 2 I think) out but does not let air in, if it starts bubbling like it does with Jason's beer I'll take a little picture for ya or video.

So that was day one, I have 6 gallons of potential wine right now, but I have to pour it into a big glass container, only 5 gallons big...any tricks for me? I might pre bottle one just to see what exactly happens.

Oh and ummm if it turns out good (or bad for that matter) I will be selling it for 5$ a bottle to try and knock the price down a bit from me. I will have plenty available as 6 gallons makes 30 bottles of wine.

Summer school is going well too.

hows my little weather update

Today started off, sort of cloudy and 60 and ended up overcast and poopy
It was my first workday mixed with school day, 8 hours of class 35 min at home 6 and a half at work, now hopefully less than two for homework, putting me at hopefully more than 5 hours of sleep.

Hows my little Japanese blogger?

Hey Kids, my delightful roomie, Jason 'will' Staab otherwise known as the Japanese Stabber, has blogged from the far east, or the Orient, if you will. It sounds like Japan is terating him well. He managed to find the only Zoo ever with moving animals, and it also sounds like he is having a good time with a postman and food (which are unrelated) he like every good traveler friend of mine has taken some pictures of Forigen Graffiti, which was wonderful of him.

My life on the other hand has been much less exciting, Ann took off today for the land of skyscrapers and mini-apples. I am home alone now, but on the other hand I am really busy with school, I am taking two May term classes, For those of you who arent clear about what a may term class consists of, it is a three week crash course where one day is equivalant to a week's worth of classes. For me that is 8 hours a day of class and on average at night three hours of home work, 3 hours of piddiling around, and 5 hours of sleep, not sure where the other 5 hours go...

I saw United 93 a couple of days ago too.

don't see united 93

I think I could have filmed it if I had 4 arabic friends willing to run around yelling things about allah in an airplane set. The character development was shitty..but then again what is there to develop, none of them are going to be around to get the girl at the end. In fact I am suprised Hollywood didn't change the ending to the movie to make sure one person got out alive for the sequal. As soon as the movie began I knew that it was going to bring closure at the end with a big black screen and white letters telling us some interesting figures about the day, and it did, three of them in fact. It did do a good job on the other hand evoking emotion. Going back to how I could have filmed this, If I could capture my friends amoung a frenzy of the arabic people screaming telling one of those airplane phones that they loved them, I think I could recreate it. altogether it was a disapointment. The fact that someone is making all sorts of money because of over a thousand deaths is absurd.

What was good about the movie though was the remake of 'The Omen' which was a sweet flick originaly. That come out june 6th, which if you didnt know yet is 6-6-06. good thing school is out, thats just asking for a shooting somewhere.

Justin pointed me to this song, its the new Shakira song with a different Girl singing. I bet the chick in it can't shake her ass like Shakira Can.

Hows my little l-i-v-i-n?

Folks, the long part of school is done! I did ok on all of my finals but one. It has been summer now for a few days here, but it has been rainy and cold LAMELAMELAME. Jon came up last week and we had a wonderful time.

Jason left for Japan today, He is going to be over there working and traveling around hither and tither. I loaded up a bunch of tunes on my nomad for him last night so that he can listen to all sorts of good stuff. I'm gunna miss him.
Did you know ANYONE can be an AARP member as long as they sign up and have their 12.50 annual fee, found that one on CNN. Neat huh?
Ann is leaving me for a new life down in the cities, thats going to be sad.
I am excitied to be up in Duluth all summer, I am not excited to miss lots of thngs about home though. for example:

* Disc golfing a lot, or at all
* A mall or best buy that I don't hate driving to
* Ma and Pa and Sis
* Chip
* Watching movies in justin's basement, even though he doesn't want to
* Watching movies in Tony's Basement because he wanted to
* Trading music
* Being loud and stupid in a car
* Seeing nearly every movie that comes out in the summertime
* Seeing said movies at midnight
* Taco Bell
* Swimming in gross ponds to find frisbee golf discs
* and most of all...MY FRIENDS!!

but its ok, I know some good people up here who will make the time fly, I am excited up here to play my drum outside and try to make a total of one dollar this summer, putting a remote starter in my car, having enough money to live, lallapalooza? riding my bike to lots of places, learning about how to design things, taking summertime pictures of Duluth, Walking by the lake, and what I am going to start today...MAKING WINE!!!

Well folks it has been a while since I wrote, that pretty much sums things up, there was a time last week that I went for 3 days-ish with only 4 hours of sleep under my belt, but I got everything done and that pleases me. Take it easy all, and feel free to visit the city of Duluth this summer, I am a good host! ask Erin, she will vouch for me.

Hows my little finals week?

I want to be really excited for summer, but the monday after finals week(may 15th) I start my two may term classes, along with work....I have been beating my ass raw to get it ready for this term.
Jon is coming tuesday.
I have like 5 things due monday and only one mostly done...waa waa.
I had the pleasure of seeing the presidents of the united states of america live on friday. remember them? I think they were only worth the 5$ the student ticket was, like them recorded better, but it was a fun happy show.
Working at the frront desk is good, I am busy non-stop and thats good for me because it leaves me no time to sand or sit bored.
Stadium Arcadium is deliciously good, I have a date with The Anniemosity to romp up to best buy on tuesday when it comes out.
I am doing an art project where I make myself a slinky sort of...

Privacy fun facts

* College students have been diciplined for drinking in dorms because of Facebook

Hows my little Penny?

Right now, the market value of the zinc and copper within a single penny is valued at nearly 0.9 cents. And since it costs an additional 0.6 cents to manufacture a penny, according to the NY Times, the Mint is paying roughly 1.5 cents for every penny it makes.

Not really sure what this means, but yee haw is that exciting or what?

Today I biked home from school.
It was way fun peadling in the highest gear down the Duluth hills.
New goal....Get a speeding ticket on my bike

Hows my little *Ahem*

three exciting things came into my life today:

These cds are like the size of my head!

You might be saying to yourself, Tony! why the heck would you buy that, you dont even have a record player!
But I do...
I have dibs on my grandpa's someday when I go down there or he comes here I am taking it, the Electric Featus here in Duluth has a whole section devoted to Vinyl, I got lucky and was able to pick up these three unused.
I heard a rumor that Drunken lullibies is out of production, and their website says swagger is not avalible in Vinyl, that makes these something of a comadity.

I need a vacation from here

What is the gas report from everyone,
around Duluth gas is $2.85 how about the rest of you folks?

Hows my little Djembe?

poo...

I was going to enter in this design competition that our Student Design Organization (SDO) is putting on. If I was able to get an Idea for it I think I would have had a good chance of getting selected, but I didn't so I am not going to. I came to this realization about 10 min ago. The contest is for this little publication that SDO puts out once a semester. I've decided I need to learn more about design before I can really tackle these things. Its that or that I am just lame. The latter is probably more correct. It would be really awesome to get something in but I just can't get a decent Idea onto the screen.

On a happier note two new things have come into my life. Remember that drum I was talking about a few entries ago...It is now in my house, Jason and I both love it, not sure if Ann can stand it, oh well, it gives my ADHD hands something to do.
Also my cool digital camera stopped loading pictures onto my computer yesterday, so I cashed in my 4 year plan and got a newer better one. So for you non believers in those plans they try to sell you, now you know it can be useful. A new one would have cost me $300 rather than $30

Got to play outside today, it was great.

Ma Pa Sis and Dog are coming up to visit me this weekend I am beyond excited.

I might be relocating at the Edgewater in the next week or so, which is sweet because I really don't like my job that much. This new one will look halfway respectable on a resume as well, of course nothing to do with my career but still nice looking.

Have a good spring

Hows my little Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia?

What has two thumbs and likes blowjobs?

This guy!

As you may have noticed in my title (those three ridiculously hard words to pronounce) that is the name of my heart 'thing'. Its really not too big of a deal BUT if you want to go and learn all about it, I have found a pretty concise site about it, if you just go here.
School has been busy, The two other people who work my job are about to or already have quit, and I think I am going to transfer within the hotel so that I dont have to work such a bitch job. Afterall, I'm better than that.
My website is complete! By the time the vast majority of you read this I will be handing it in for my critique and all will be well...hopefully.
If you want to visit it, all you have to do is click through the windows, doors and paths!
I took all of these pictures around Duluth rock city.
Life has been busy and will finally let up on thursday when I get to hang out with some wonderful people. Thats all for now its time for bed.

Hows my little prayed victim?

I thought I would put this right in here because the chances of any of you following the link are small:

Study: Prayer doesn't affect heart patients

NEW YORK (AP) -- In the largest study of its kind, researchers found that having people pray for heart bypass surgery patients had no effect on their recovery. In fact, patients who knew they were being prayed for had a slightly higher rate of complications.

Researchers emphasized their work does not address whether God exists or answers prayers made on another's behalf. The study can only look for an effect from prayers offered as part of the research, they said.

They also said they had no explanation for the higher complication rate in patients who knew they were being prayed for, in comparison to patients who only knew it was possible prayers were being said for them.

The work, which followed about 1,800 patients at six medical centers, was financed by the Templeton Foundation, which supports research into science and religion. It will appear in the American Heart Journal.

Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard Medical School and other scientists tested the effect of having three Christian groups pray for particular patients, starting the night before surgery and continuing for two weeks. The volunteers prayed for "a successful surgery with a quick, healthy recovery and no complications" for specific patients, for whom they were given the first name and first initial of the last name.

The patients, meanwhile, were split into three groups of about 600 apiece: those who knew they were being prayed for, those who were prayed for but only knew it was a possibility, and those who weren't prayed for but were told it was a possibility.

The researchers did not ask patients or their families and friends to alter any plans they had for prayer, saying such a step would have been unethical and impractical.

The study looked for any complications within 30 days of the surgery. Results showed no effect of prayer on complication-free recovery. But 59 percent of the patients who knew they were being prayed for developed a complication, versus 52 percent of those who were told it was just a possibility.

Dr. Harold G. Koenig, director of the Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health at the Duke University Medical Center, who did not take part in the study, said the results did not surprise him.

"There are no scientific grounds to expect a result and there are no real theological grounds to expect a result either," he said.

Science, he said, "is not designed to study the supernatural."

Here is where you can find it:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/HEALTH/03/30/prayer.study.ap/index.html

So, If my heart breaks and I do need surgery, please don't pray for me, I will be more likely to have complications.

Hows my little Springin' entry

It's that time again.
Spring time.
Thank god.
This time of the year, this exact time of the year, is my least favorite time of year. Do you know why? no of course not, because I haven't told you. So now I will.
I don't like this time of year because I cant stand how all of the snow is melting, the sun is out and everything is just gross looking. The grass next to the sidewalks is full of the past 4 months of people's garbage that they were to lazy to deposit in a container of some sort. And everything is all sandy and muddy and wet, you cant walk around outside without dodging some sort of massive puddle or puddle of mud.
By this time of year I am also looking foreward to school ending, the sun doesn't set at 4:30 pm any more and I just want to wander around outside in the "warm" weather, but this year is the first year I have had a job AND a ton of homework, so I can't enjoy the extended amount of sun nor can I enjoy the warmth for longer than my walk to and from the bus stop. Lame.

On another note, I went skiing with my Dad yesterday at Lutsen for what is going to be the last time of the year, mumsie came too but she didn't ski. It was awesome to see my parents, I even took em to the bar to see the lovely Anne Clifford turn 21. Dad bought her an ameretto sour, and me a wiskey with a splash of coke.

My doctor's appointment today was a bust...I was a week early, see ya next week Dr. Lee! Yes, I do have an arrythmia Jon, thats old news though.

I am working on a web page for an art class you guys can go to it and dink around with it if you want to. As of the time of writing this it is going to suck A LOT, so no critiquing yet please. It is due a week from tomorrow so you can watch my progress on it, starting now.

Hows my little newsflash?

I had an entire little political blog going about the war and each paragraph I wrote I hated it a little more so I started deleting bit by bit, made it a list format, deleted some more bullets. Then I summarized the bullets. and here is what I have left after my final cut.
* 37% of the country likes bush
* I am voting for Fiengold in 08
* Iraq is close to a civil war

Good shit huh?
I dont think so either.

One day I was sitting on the bus thinking, man these games on my cell phone are lame and I dont think I should ever play them. So I deleted them, and now whenever I am bored for like 10 min I whip out my cell phone to dink around with a game, that I dont have...so stupid.

I need some good tune recomendations that are upbeat and good.
Recently I have been diggin:
Tegan and Sara, Bloc Party, Transplants (haunted cities album), and Kaiser Cheifs

Today I spent well over $100 on food at Cub, thats what pizza for breakfast two days in a row will do to ya.

Tomorrow I am going to clean my bathroom, wish me luck, the bathtub looks like someone used it for gardening.

Sandal weather is fast approaching, I dont care if I go to spirit again this season, its small lame and I am bored of it, bring on spring.
The Twin Cities have more snow than Duluth.
(is it have or has it doesnt sound right either way in my head)

Ann comes back tomorrow =)

Hows my spring breakin bastard?

Folks, spring break is pretty much over for me, I spent the majority of today working, and will tomorrow and the next day. woo! So far it has been a delightful break, last night I had a dream where I was pole vaulting with my next door neighbor Jamie and my Dad, Also I was learning how to fight with some star trek-ish type weapon, which was sweet.
I saw a really really ugly family at work today, they don't breed em that bad in MN so I am not sure where they were from.
I guess now is as good of a time to make my world announcement:
I will not be in the twin cities this summer, I will be taking classes up here in Duluth and working my ass off, possibly a major vacation in the works. this is so I can graduate college in something of a timely fashion, because I grow weary of the college ways. Most of you duluthians know this anyway
Also I have been wondering, at what point in my life will it become a social taboo for be to acquire music at any whim for free and me to convert to some sort of musical downloading service that I have to pay for?
I had a wonderful time at home seeing the people I saw. I also got lots of new clothes, INCLUDING LINEN PANTS, they rock. I have never wanted linen pants but they called to me from the shelf, they beckoned. I heeded its call and got them. and a pretty sweet looking blue shirt, with buttons, AND a collar.

oh yeah, the new macs with intel inside can now officially run windows as well as OSX I'm sure none of you care, but I like telling you people about things you don't know about.

* I am also working for the majority of spring break, so that I can afford to cut loose after spring break
* I will not have time to cut loose after spring break
* I need to get the hell outta' here
* I am looking forward to relaxing for a few days
* I have an atrial arrhythmia, said the heart monitor
* I ate the second roll of thin mints in the box
* In one sitting
* With a glass of milk
* I like the Kaiser Chiefs
* If I cant see you....do you really exist?
* The definition of time is ridiculous, check it out
* Gimme a chance to shine and Ill blind the world
* I am going to take my camera around with me to document my spring (work more hours than usual) break
* I get paid tomorrow...lots.....thank god

Here is a picture of how unorganized I am right now...Its making me sick:

Apparently when one has a blog they must have some sort of black and white emo picture
Since I am not Emo here is my black and white picture:

* Dose anyone else not give a shit what Microsoft's origami ended up being? cause I know I didn't, lame lame lame.
* 2005 was the first year that the soda pop industry made less money than the year before since 1985, because of bottled water, energy drinks and Sport drinks.
* Did you know most people drink the majority of the calories they consume in beer and pop?
* Also did you know Americans are currently saving their money at a rate comparable to the Americans of the great depression?

That's all for now!

Hows my little forgotten mayo?

Today was a pivotal day in my college career.
UMD is different than many other colleges, and similar, it is different and similar in the respect of, once you actually get into your college you need to apply within the school to get into a particular department.
The graphic design department here at UMD needs me, So I heeded its call and Applied to get in. They threw me for a loop though, rather than filling out an application which takes ten min. They decided instead of wasting your time with paper they want to see what kind of art you do, naturally.
So I showed them. In 10 minuets.
10 of my best pieces from my one semester I have participated in the school of fine arts.
My panel consisted of two people, one lady who was friendly, along with another man named bob, who was also friendly. AND SPOKE WITH AN IRISH ACCENT!!
Which was distracting, because I really like listening to them/him.
All around since my art basically rules I think I did well, but since my GPA is nothing worth bragging about or mentioning, I am on the fringe of weather or not I would get into the program here because of the latter.
I should know sometime next week the fate of my future here at UMD.

-in other news..-

BJ next time call with a 7 or 9 digit phone number, the 10 digits confused me, but next time I will answer and I WILL run out of class to talk with your beautiful self. You sounded pretty wasted friend :)

Today I made a ham and cheese sandwich and forgot the mayo
I was pissed.

I wont know anything about my heart for "a couple of weeks" thats health service for ya!
Its good that they are treating this like a HEART IS NOT IMPORTANT IN ANY WAY!
I'm done with that.

I had my first Google chat with the lovely anne clifford today, hot damn!
The smiles rotate, and wink.
which is sweet
So am I

I am doing a web page project, and if we end up posting it online I will send y'all the link to follow along with my progress. It is going to be inspired by a sweet page called 99 Doors.
It should be pretty sweet, I am going to wander around Duluth Rock City and take pictures of its shady places/walls. which excites me

Hows my little google search?

So I just googled my name and I was just reading some of the little blurbs under the links and I read that "I" died in August of 2003. which was weird, because I haven't died. It made me a little sad. So try your names and see if you come up with any awards or deaths or anything else weird. I found one that was my name .com and that all it said was my name on the page, that one made me mad Because I wanted to click it. AND now when I get rich and famous, someone will already have my name for a domain name.

Hows my little happy prankster?

A real E-mail from my mom:

Well kids it has happend now, but today I was going home and I saw lake superior had ice on almost all of it, which hasn't happend yet this year. That makes me happy. so that means starting now the ice build-ups along the beach are going to start growing and also the ice on the rocks around canal park is going to get growing as well. There will also be the big crystal clear ice chunks on the shore that are so beautiful as well. It has taken way too long for this to happen. Thank goodness it has though.

I've been listening to the Transplants new CD 'Haunted Cities" for the past few days, Everyone should give it a listen or pirate a bit of it and tell me what you think. I really enjoy the songs, Madness, Gangsters and Thugs, and Killafornia (gotta love a song called 'kill'afornia, no you really dont, but its funny that someone spent time recording a song called that)

Hows my little driod?

THE BIONIC MAN!
so I got my heart monitor today.
I was really worried that it wasn't going to pick up that thing it does. BUT alas it did i attached it at 9:40 and my first "event" happened at 9:54, hot damn. I think I am going to pound an energy drink or two in the next 48 hours to 'give my heart incentive' to do its thing, cause the last thing I want is some sort of speculative guess as to what is wrong with me.
In other news, today I am in a great mood, for no good reason, and I love that.
Jason is brewing beer in our house and it reeks of hops, but everyone has a different opinion on what it really smells like, so far we have burnt cabbage, squash, and potatoes.
And because I am avoiding homework I decided I would include this photo collage dedicated to this heart monitor thing.

Hows my little on short notice?

Its official, today, like 3 min ago I was bored so I decided to look at facebook.
I got no pleasure out of it at all.
None
Mission accomplished.
I really want to be done with college. The constant homework and then working during the free time I don't have with homework is starting to wear on me. Also I am growing increasingly less tolerant with people who drink/are drunk.
I have two rolls of film and 4 prints to make for my photo class on Tuesday, that means on Monday I will be spending approximately 10 hours of my day working with pictures somehow. isn't that peachy? I don't mind though, I like taking pictures.
After Monday I wont really have anything to do for about a week and a half, so people I have been neglecting, which is most of you. expect a call from me sometime to catch up and hang out.
BJ I really like getting your E-mails keep em coming, that Ice bar sounded SWEET.

Hows my little heartache?

Does anyone else giggle a little bit when someone says happy VD?
I could be wrong but I always thought VD stood for venereal disease.
I am proud to say that I grew up in a generation that decided to stop spelling words and start abrv. all of em. ha
Valentines day is today if you have been checking you're away messages I am sure you haven't forgotten, I know I was reminded no less than 8 times, which is funny because 6 of the 8 people who were wishing other people to have a happy day are single and lonely, this is fact.
This is the first Valentines day I will be spending with a significant other in quite a while, which is exciting to me
I saw Jason (my roomie) yesterday for the first time in a week. its funny because he lives his life after 1 am and I actually get sleep now.
Some news I haven't really shared with you bloggers is I have some sort of heart issue thing I went to our (joke of a) on campus doctor's office and currently have a diagnosis of an arrhythmia, not sure what kind but I do know that its more of an annoyance than a discomfort. no worries, i wont be dying on you folks anytime soon!
BJ the pics you put up on facebook are really sweet by the way

Here is a random pic cause I havent done one in ages:
its offensive.

Hows my little morning quickie?

I should be doing homework that is due in two hours...but meh
Ann and I decided valentines day is a stupid holiday, paritcularly in duluth were there are only like 4 decent resturants and everyone wants to bring their other half to them. So we decided a bottle of wine and some sort of home made meal together would be grand. (no presents either!)
Flogging Molly was fantastic as usual. They played 'sentimental johnny' with the trumpet, which is the first time I've seen that live. Also it was the first time I went to a concert with a significant other.
This morning I hit the snooze button an unprecedented 3 times, I woke up feeling like garbage. I hate the snooze button.
dont spraypaint indoors, and if you do make sure it is well ventilated. Even if it is too cold outside to open a window.
I developed a roll of film and made two prints last night...Im good at doing that now, hot damn!
Enough is enough, back to making a shoe out of wire

Hows my litte comeback?

So life during the week or two preceding the last entry was pretty rough for me, but I am over it. I think I had something kinda serious going on, I lost like 5 or 6 pounds of weight (didn't really know I had that to lose) and I was sleeping like crap, treating Ann like a commodity and all around not thinking about myself or others. Life is good now though, classes are going alright, I have a photo class now and it rocks because I know everything already.
Flogging Molly is tonight, to date I have seen them 4 times, tonight will be numba five! 3 of the four were at first Ave. 2 of the 4 were free. 4 of the 4 I brought someone with to pop their flogging molly cherry. 0 of the 4 I have been drunk. 4 of the 4 have been unquestionably fun.
I expect tonight to be no different.
I think I am developing a speech impediment, I am having troubles stringing my thoughts together to create a coherent sentence, I just end up stuttering/correcting myself, or just stop talking altogether and start over. The guests at the water park have trouble taking me seriously when I do this. fuck em.
Water park Observation time!
Last night I had the privilege of seeing a HORRENDOUS muffin top, it was gross. If you can imagine a muffin that the batter was filled too high in the cup and then only cooked about halfway that is how this girl's saggy love handles hung over the side of her swimsuit. GIRLS FOR GODSAKES this horrible atrocity can be prevented if you just buy pants/swimsuit that FITS jesus. I don't care what your pants size is, one or two sizes up will not offend me, in fact I have never known a girlfriend's pant size, and I don't intend on it for a while to come either.
Oh yeah, one more thing about her, it looked like she was wearing a shirt made out of zits too, BLEAH! haha
Saw another girl who could grow a mustache bigger longer and thicker than me, I almost blew some air at hers to see if it would billow.
This will be the first semester in college where I actually will have to do reading for my classes, because I have a teacher who can't teach worth a damn and everything she does teach is apparently right from the book, I wish I could explain better how horrible she is at teaching.
Well off to make a mix for the drive home shower eat and all that good stuff.
It was long, but most of em tend to be this way so I am going to stop apologizing for it now.
BJ have a sweet time in Aussie land, miss ya.
Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming out with a CD in the next month or two, which means they are coming to Minneapolis in the next 4 to 6 months. Its about damn time if you ask me.
