Hows my little hoosier?

hello world.

Laura and I have had some excellent adventures thus far on the vacation. We started off by taking Laura to a surprise concert where we saw Less than Jake and Reel Big Fish. It was an excellent show. Reel big fish (a ska band) did a great cover of Enter Sandman. Amanda and I also got temporarily kicked out, because the bartender made an awful Black Russian.

Day two:
Laura and I got up extra early when Amanda left to make bagels for the hungry, to begin our great trek to Indiana. The car ride was a fun one despite its length. During one of our rest stops I got pooped on by a flying animal. Laura was laughing too hard to inform me before I smashed it all over, good times.
That night we went Jet skiing I tried unsuccessfully to throw laura off, bummer.

Day Three:
We hung around the house in the morning, it was too hot to go outside for any great length of time. Laura got the run-down of my childhood from my mom, she had fun. Later she got a haircut by the same guy who cuts hair for some famous bands, the only one I know for sure is a band called Kill Hannah. She looks excellent with her short new do. That night we went out to dinner and I had the best prime rib I have ever had. I can't seem to put it's goodness into writing.

Day Four:
This day was quite cooler, the family and Laura got out to play some golf in the morning, I beat everyone, basically because I am really good at golf if you didn't know. Jon and his lovely girlfriend Kara paid us a visit and we all took off to a neat state park called Turkey Run. There we went on a cool adventure called Geocaching. For those not familiar all you need is the official geocache website and and a GPS unit. you find a local cache using the GPS coordinates. It was really cool, now I want a GPS of my own for this kind of adventuring. As a nightcap we did some dusk-time four wheeling, we saw some really huge spiders that Laura was deathly afraid of, but since I am a strong MAN I protected her well.

Today:
Finally today we were able to sleep in, we went to bed at 11 last night and got up around 10 today. The sleep we got was much needed. We also attended my Great Aunt and Uncles 50th wedding anniversary surprise party! I met a lot of family I didn't know I had, so did Laura, it was a grand 'ol time. The beer cheese dip was also delicious. On the way back my mom and dad had a chicken laying an egg impression contest, they were both very good and the jury is still out on the winner. Tonight My sister's train got in an accident of some sort at the time of this writing and my parents are driving up towards it to try and pick her up. she is alive and well.

Vacation so far: most excellent.
Oh and I have had some time for some art, check it out:

this is the pond my dad made it rocks.

Hows my little stray?

We have stumbled across a new friend in the back yard, it is black cute furry and cuddly. Laura and I have decided to call it jinx. She is a very cute little cat that I will probably adopt. Thing is I am taking a two week vacation and we would leave so we very well can't adopt it now. Also our neighbors know about her and one is saying it attacked her. (we were eves dropping last night) and since Laura and I have met it she has shown no signs of rabies, only cute. So the neighbors are eventually going to catch this cat and take it to an animal shelter. I hope that she lives, I wouldn't mind this cat, she is ultra friendly and likes me, I think.

I think that I'll be calling the shelter before I go asking if they see this cat turn up to place her on hold for me until I return.

Hows my little life?

Its good today.

Life is good in general. I've noticed I haven't really given a Tony's life update in a while. Well, I reiterate it is good. I have been pretty damn busy, this is one of the first times in a long time I've had a chance to scroll through all of my fellow blogger links at once in a while.

So the burning question; Tony, What have you been up to?
Response (bulleted):
*Well the full time job sucks up about 40ish hours each week.
*I just finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (it was wonderful)
*My part time job is going really really well! I made a brochure and possibly have secured the position for the Late Night Kirby Shirt design. Last week I spent 13 additional hours working for them.
*I have been seeing lots of good movies with Laura.
*I still haven't heard back from my water pictures and that 'job'.
*I got run over by a kid and his Cherokee while coming back from work. I'm fine only a little scrape on my ankle, although since my bike had a flat I was riding Laura's in the meantime. The damages alone are worth more than my bike but about half of what Laura's was worth. The kid has been very kosher and is paying it all.
*I am making another batch of wine, it will be called Scarlet Caboose and is a Cabernet Sauvingon (sarah this will probably be your favorite of the wines I've made) and it is deeeeeeelicious, donations accepted.
*laura and I are going on a two week vacation in a week and can't wait to really relax for the first time in ages. The destinations: Indiana, Madison, Noah's Arc, BWCA
*I have been contemplating the phrase "these are the best times of your life" lately.
*The AC in my car went out, got fixed for a few minutes and went out again. Lame. My windshield wipers got in a fight and one broke the other. More Lame.

At the beginning of the summer I found myself in a rut of the same 'ol same 'ol daily and tried to break from it, I think I have done an excellent job of it and that is quite excellent.

I have so far read 4 books this summer including, The BFG, Kite Runner, Life of Pi, and Harry potter. I am hoping to move on to Deception Point by Dan Brown, and another one called Middlesex. Reading this good fiction has been very refreshing. Oh and I will recommend all of these books to the curious.

I have also watched so little TV I am having trouble justifying paying for even the basic cable.

I have also reaffirmed how much I positively hate, wait, loathe the heat. for 5 nights in a row I slept naked and no sheets because I was sweating from lying down, that my friends, no matter how you cut it, is intolerable.

Thats about it, my life as of late, I think it will calm down a bit when school starts in a month. Ciao!
