Today I ate a maple bacon long john from Ryal Donut in Danville as part of my balanced breakfast.
Royal Donut has their shit together when it comes to a donut. Their yeast donuts have a spectacular spongy texture with a rich flavor of cream and greasy happiness.
I really enjoy a maple frosted donut and when I saw their sign that said 'go hog wild with a maple bacon donut' all I could think was, 'please be real bacon, please, please, please!' I was overwhelmingly thrilled when I saw it didn't just have real bacon but it was completely smothered in crumbled thick chunks of perfectly cooked greasy, chewey, crisp, heavenly bacon. mmm. Probably my favorite donut consuming experience ever.
I like donuts, a lot.
