Hows my little made out?

In one of my classes I am learning how to make flash programs, websites ect, for my final project I have decided to take on a game. The game I chose is a memory game, one where you flip tiles to find their pair, with the subject of beer. The premise is a player will flip over tiles revealing a logo or a glass of beer. The object is to match a beer logo with it's particular glass(or color) of beer.

Neat huh?
I think so too, except I hate flash.
Aside form that...

I am using my own photos of said beer in a glass because of a lack on the internet and tonight was the beer run night. I heard of a couple of places that had build your own six pack options. Without much luck at the one near my house I headed into superior with Ms. Fuller and stopped by Keyport. After telling a couple of the guys what I was doing "hahaha you need beer for a school project?" they actually got really helpful and wandered the beer section with us giving ideas of how I can do this economically (the build a 6-pack was not successful here). So after pointing out some good ideas he says hold on and heads into the back. He comes out with an assortment of like 20 bottles and cans and says here you can just have these(free beer!). After Sarah and I picked up our jaws I graciously thanked him bought a few others for the variety and this is what I made out with for the night:

I would call the night a success of great proportions.
The best side effect of this is all of my future homeworking will be more fun to do because I have to photograph all of that beer before this time next week, and I can't just pour it all down the drain...

Hows my little Generator?

well this is certainly cool too.

Hows my little shock?

Oh no

The end is near.

Hows my little update?

Madison was fun.
How am I?
Great.

Tell me something new.

ok.
Traditional style, you know Something old, something new something borrowed, something blue

Something old - My cat Jinx is old news but she is (for me anyway) really starting to come out of her shell, she plays she is a huge cuddle bug, she's black and all sorts of cute. Also something old, Laura and I got a fish this summer, it died this weekend sadly. Rest in Peace Felix you made an excellent muse in your healthy days.

Something new - Well I already told all about my computer soo...I talked to my good pal Rich (whom I met in Bemidji) and he presented me with a reason to head to Colorado(?) for a bit in the summer(?). Sweet!

Now its tricky

Something Borrowed - In school I am (learning a lot about) borrowing from what has been done and adding something different to make it better, to make it mine. I have taken this thought to heart recently and got inspired to write a motivational/inspirational post on innovation that ended up sounding preachy and lame (don't they usually?) I can't understand why people fall into the habit of routine and normalcy. I know its easy to do and many things to blame, but what can they do to make their 'daily' life better or more interesting? Have you asked yourself that lately? The better question might be, do you care if you do or don't?

Something Blue
- The cover of the Muse's album has a crazy awesome landscape picture with a really really great blue. (I didn't Cheat!) This album is simply fantastic from start to finish. I can listen to each track on its own or (preferred) all in a row and just melt into the riffs they so generously lay out for me to lose myself in. Which isn't safe to do while driving.

There a unique and challenging way to describe some different bits of life as I know it.

PS Thank you for being you. You.

Hows my little Underpants?

This weekend I forgot to pack underwear for my adventure to Madison.
Normally this isn't a problem I would just go to Target and buy some to hold out for the weekend and extend my laundry cycle and be happy.

But not today.

Maybe you haven't heard but today is the day after thanksgiving and apparently the biggest shopping day of the year. So that makes buying underwear purchasing a stressful event. Damnit.

So after a great lunch at Noodles and Co. with Laura I decided I would brave a trip to Target, because clean underwear is just more comfortable (and sanitary). After parking on mars. I began my trek across the Parking lot. I walked into target to come across the absolutely worst set-up target in the world. I've been in a plenty of targets in my day and this one approached Duluth's wal-mart in the shittiest setup ever. Anyway, after wandering all over I finally found the men's clothing section, and stood awkwardly next to this very awkward older woman looking at the men in the boxer brief pictures and standing very near to me. After she finally left I was finally able to think and grabbed my choices and left. (what happened to the weekend 3 pack anyway?)

After leaving the underwear section I headed for the DVD section (because it was right next to it) and grabbed blood diamond because it was only 4 dollars and thats hard to argue with. On my way to checkout I saw bottles of wine as an endcap and grabbed a Cabernet realizing I was in Wisconsin, this made sense and checked out, with no wait.

So my Black Friday experience actually didn't suck, which was nice. Target must have just planted all of those cars in the lot to make me think they were going to be busy. Suckers.

Hows my little innovator?

I've been thinking a lot about innovation lately.
Are you innovating?

*post inspired from a paper I am writing right now by the guy who fathered motion pictures. Really really amazing.

Hows my little BIG sexy? (revisited)

I'm still learning all about it, everything is so new its going to (and has) take a bit of putzing.

The keyboard is lying face down so I can show just how skinny it is.

This is my laptop infront of the new computer and with the keyboard on top.

It so far has been a bowl full of fun. I have also installed Vista on it which is...ok so far. I am riding the wave of Leopard and Vista right now and they are both nice and all but I keep getting asked if I'm sure I want to do something, which is driving me nuts. I am not computer illiterate and I want to tell my computer that but can't figure out how.

Ok this one was ridiculous I was running WINDOWS update and it asked me if it was ok to continue. COME ON!! way past stupid
I actually like these commercials and this one is unfortunately accurate.

Buuuut Leopard isn't perfect either I've been having my share of troubles with this too, every folder I transfer from my laptop is restriced access and I have to unlock ALL of them. Very stupid.

I do promise I really like it inbetween these setback.
Heart.
This one was for you mom.

Hows my little BIG sexy?

New Toy!

...Its really awesome except for the parts that I am getting mad at tonight. I'm going to bed.

Hows my little Mix?

Clifford this is for you.

The mix.
A mix tape or cd is a wonderful wonderful invention. Raise your hands, who has found a new songbandalbumlove from a mix that someone has made them? ^ Me too.

I used to make mixes for people all the time in high school. I was one of the few people with Napster and a 56k AND a CD burner. I usually charged people $5 for my services/the CD all while expanding my own music collection and broadening my musical tastes. Then as Cable modems, Kazaa and CD burners were found standard on computers I was out of business, which was fine. I made the occasional mix for people stopped charging and we all went on our merry ways.

It wasn't until The Anniemosity had inspired me to ask for a mix did I realize how long it has been since I have bestowed that challenge upon someone. Challenge you might ask? Yes Challenge. I have been around this music acquiring business for quite awhile I have grown to love and dislike many genres and bands in that time. But I am always jealous of other people's music collections, how they can love a song I've never heard. I wanted to be in the loop I wanted a piece of her taste.

So with that making a mix isn't just throwing a few songs from your library into your favorite burning application. Making a mix is taking a piece of your musical soul and interpreting someone else's soul and making it fit just right. After that for a good mix you need to think of the ordering of the songs. MJ can not follow System of a Down (unless maybe its smooth criminal). Its all very tricky.

Anniemosity made me a mix that is true to its definition. I have an eclectic view of what she loves right now and before. I also have two more Chili Pepper songs that I can't stop listening to. And the third track with the bass line I can't get out of my head? yes! YES!! It's all very wonderful. She even loaded me with Van Halen a band I thought I had burned out on but when placed among the other songs I listen to it the whole way through, which is saying something. Altogether she managed to rise to the challenge there has been some wonderful times in the car of late. Musically, Its what I needed and I thank you.

Hows my little photoblog?

My life in photos.
Check it out:

Drive with the Staab-man to Mad-towne for Halloween (I get really fidgety)

Laura and I had fun at a friend's friend's house. I learned all about vets.

Halloween in Madison is fun. I recommend it. If I cared about lifehouse I would have gotten closer to the stage, but since I don't here was our vantage point for their one good song.

This is Jinx's favorite spot to lay when I'm doing homework.

Wedding in madison this weekend. Notice the time. The ceremony began 15 min before this time. This was the best wedding ceremony ever because we showed up just in time for the closing procession. We hopped in line congratulated the parents, hugged the newly-weds and wet our lips for the reception. Nice.

I danced.

We did the hardest Geocache ever. [read through the clues to humor yourself] But didn't finish...yet.

This is on its way to my house...right now. Awesome.
