Ever since I've seen Across the Universe I've wanted to put together a Beatles equivalent to the soundtrack so I've been doing a bit of research into what songs came from what album and turns out if you know one thing about a song and how john Lennon came up with the idea you must put it on the internet.
After reading about Mr. Lennon I've decided he and I could be good friends if it were 1967 right now. he is weird and random, and I love weird random shit. I think i would do less acid than him though. I mean seriously I am the walrus?

Hows my little last spring break?
This was it. My last spring break of college, I had fun. To those I saw thanks, it was great, to those I didn't...another time.
It's geocaching season again! Over break I found 5 caches, and grabbed one travel bug thats been to Hawaii! To the certain someones who have an unfinished multicache with Laura and I we NEED to finish that next time I see ya.
I don't want to be in college anymore, springtime has pushed ambition under a rug.
Jinx and Chip aren't best friends and it kinda bums me out.

Hows my little weirdo?
This weekend was a fun yet bizarre one. I thought going into it, much boredom and job hunting was going to come out of it, instead...neither!
Friday was full of rock band fun stuff. Rock band is really really great fun, I like to sing the most because I suck the least at it. I suck at the drums and the guitars are pretty tricky too. Funny how that works because I am an awful singer.
Saturday Started by cleaning my room and waiting for friends John and Nikki to pick me up for a plunge into lake superior, we were 20 min late. Which means if you know anything about polar bear plunges we were actually 19 min late and short one free shirt. We did not stop there though, NO SIR! We were at Fitger's Boch fest and wanted, and needed to participate. So we signed up for a stein race and WON! somehow. John and I recruited two strangers (one who we think was very hammered, but nice) the other excited to race.
While watching our competition I drank a couple of Bochs and even had them caramelized by a giant Iron rod and it was a fantastic experience. Dinner at the brewhouse yielded two more empty pitchers of delicious (un-caramelized) Boch. Bed was good that night.
Sunday I had every intention of getting some work done, but Justin called and offered me an opportunity to see The E Street Band rock out with Bruce Springsteen, which was really cool. I didn't feel creepily old but nor did I feel like a baby, Still don't know how people can buy multiple $6.00 beers.
The white castle on the way home was divine.

Hows my little Muse?
After a disappointing 2007 in music I have been trying very hard to make 08 significantly better to make up for it. As of today there is are three albums (that came out in 07 & 06 respectivly) that I can listen to over and over. Velvet Revolver's Lbertad and Muse's Black Holes and Revelations, and The Hush Sound's Like Vines.
With that, I want all of you to listen to this song by Muse, it is having a direct positive impact on my life right now. Right at 3:18 my heart has built so much anticipation for whats next and they just blow it away. It's refreshing to listen to bands who are really good at what they do.
The song is Knights of Cydonia
Here is a single I've stumbled across somehow A free beer for whoever can tell me what 80s or 90s band this guy sounds like. The band is Clear Static the song, Make-up Sex

Hows my little exhibitor?
Yesterday was the opening of my Senior Exhibition at the Tweed Museum of Art here at Duluth. Of course I was up just about the entire night before working on it but I finished, and of course not without hangups. John Nikki and I put together a hell of an undergrad show too. (horn tooting ahead) We got lots of great compliments and a very good turnout for it as well. John cut it a little short and showed up like 20 minutes late, it was funny. So for those of you that didn't show up here are a few pictures from the ordeal.
This was my nook.
My presentation was done entirely as a slide show it turned out pretty decent I should have bought my own projector for it though but renting for free isn't so bad. My nook had a nice sitting bench as well.
So in the 3:13 seconds of my slide show I am culminating my last 3 years of learning art/design, which is kind of depressing.

Hows my little revisited Monkey Spanker?
I'm sure all of you remember THIS epic POST. So if that was the first time I witnessed an act of onanism I have probably witnessed it 10 times since then. In those ten times I have had fellow witnesses who have been studying with me see first hand for themselves. Gross.
Naturally I've told everyone I know because its really really REALLY funny. Tonight unlike many other nights I have caught the culprit the roomies were still up with some friends over. I took a break from schoolwork and decided it was time to fuck with him. With the audience at my window I pounded on his and took off, after a few tries at this, I decided it was time something had to be done. So I made this:
Using 733t rock climbing skillz I stuck it to his window and took off. 3 min later it was taken down and his (living)room dark.
Success.

hows my little new one?
For those of you who don't know already, I am a Flogging Molly fanatic. I've seen em live (7 times) I own all their albums in some way and even got the great chance to meet the folks! Yesterday Flogging Molly Came out with a new full length album, Float. I didn't have time to get it then so I got it today.
Do you care about my fist review? probably not, but here it is anyway. For those of you who liked their energy in all of their tunes you still have it. For the folks who have become big ol fans...You'll notice something different. Maybe it was the giant sticker calling this album important, or maybe it is my newly acquired bit of actually listening to words in the first few listens but all I can hear is a band who has matured.
Matured is a giant difference over aged. Matured they have, aged they haven't. If you weren't a fan before this album just might help push you towards them, the songs are laden with feeling and a driving adjective I can't put my finger on. The production sound is significantly greater than any other album, the vocals crisp each instrument defined. For a seven piece band its impressive. The songs have a bit more reservation in them than before but I can still feel the energy that would pulse through me when performed live that I'm sure I will never forget.
Altogether float is a wonderful album, buy it if you like flogging molly. If you don't find it somewhere else and see them live because it will be even better then.

Hows my little Open Letter?
Dear Music Industry,
My Name is FatTony and I enjoy acquiring music from the various sources on the internet. I've noticed lately you are posting record lows across the board in album sales, and I've taken it upon myself to wonder why.
Of course first I turned into myself to ask 'Why don't I buy eve an eighth of my music?' That's easy I say, 'It is too expensive, especially if I don't know what this artist has done before.' I have placed a value on an album at $10.00 to myself, if I've never heard more than the latest single the album isn't worth a cent more to me.
Which leads me into a question back to the industry. It takes a second to set up so bare with this one...It is easily argued that a musical album is still considered an artistic endeavor. Bach and Bono are in the same category. Anyway, a film should also be considered an artistic endeavor no problem right? Between the Actors, set designers, the director's vision or an animator they are all artists working together to complete a movie as a piece of art. So the deep question is, why is it that when a movie is released I can count on it's price dropping by half within a year sometimes I can even find it for half that of a musical album within that same year. I do understand that when the Beatles created their masterpieces they have stood the test of time, but if i recall correctly you can still find Gone With the Wind or Citizen Kane for $10 or less.
My proposition? Sell albums for less, have a sale on a genre once a year where everything is between $5.00-$8.00 but do that only if lowering the price of albums across the board to a more affordable $10.00. Because If you don't I'll keep finding my music elsewhere for free and dumping all of my money into concerts where you don't get a cent of it.
Thank you for listening,
FatTonyTCL
